Celebrate the smallest milestones.
Often times we become fixated upon the end result and don’t enjoy the journey. Whether we are trying to lose weight, learn a new technique, or working on our life goals. Learning to enjoy the moment is a practice; it’s an exercise of the mind, the body and spirit together. When we are always looking ahead at how things could be, we lose sight of the enjoyment of the present. When you have the inner strength to stick to your guns, face your fears, repeatedly let go of internal expectations, and have trust that it will all work out in the end – you learn to honor and celebrate everything that is in the here and now. You worry less and enjoy more. Have faith and conviction and you will never have to question whether or not your goals and dreams will be reached.
Celebrating even the smallest milestones will open up you more opportunities to move forward in that direction. It’s all about what is happening now, even if you only lost one pound the whole month celebrate it, honor your progress with deep gratitude. Things that may look insignificant in the larger scheme of things are really gigantic milestones that you have reached. It is all about perception. Choose to believe. ~Will “Story” Rivera
