Laugh lines are worth it.
Laughter is one of the most healing natural medicines we can ever produce. People who laugh don't worry as much as people who don't laugh, and as such enjoy life more. Laughter makes their circumstances seem less serious and therefore tolerable. A playful approach to everyday things is a key factor in keeping healthy. Daily chores are less burdensome when we laugh while doing them. We aren't always having fun, but we do have a lot more fun with laughter than without.
It is said that young children laugh as much as 100 to 200 times a day, compared to a large majority of adults who only get zero to several daily laughs. Yet laughter is good not only for the body but also for the soul and Spirit.
Go on and laugh! Whether your preference is giggle, or chuckle, here are a dozen well-being benefits of laughter: Increases antibodies in saliva that combats upper respiratory infections. Secretes an enzyme that protects the stomach from forming ulcers. Conditions the abdominal muscles. Relaxes muscles throughout the body. Changes perspective. Has positive benefits on mental functions. Reduces blood pressure and heart-rate. Tightens stomach muscles. Helps move nutrients and oxygen to body tissues. AND, it makes you feel good!
