Laughter is one of the most healing natural medicines we can ever produce. People who laugh don't worry as much as people who don't laugh, and as such enjoy life more. Laughter makes their circumstances seem less serious and therefore tolerable. A playful approach to everyday things is a key factor in keeping healthy. Daily chores are less burdensome when we laugh while doing them. We aren't always having fun, but we do have a lot more fun with laughter than without.
It is said that young children laugh as much as 100 to 200 times a day, compared to a large majority of adults who only get zero to several daily laughs. Yet laughter is good not only for the body but also for the soul and Spirit. Go on and laugh! Whether your preference is giggle, or chuckle, here are a dozen well-being benefits of laughter: Increases antibodies in saliva that combats upper respiratory infections. Secretes an enzyme that protects the stomach from forming ulcers. Conditions the abdominal muscles. Relaxes muscles throughout the body. Changes perspective. Has positive benefits on mental functions. Reduces blood pressure and heart-rate. Tightens stomach muscles. Helps move nutrients and oxygen to body tissues. AND, it makes you feel good! Only when you take full responsibility for what you have, do you give yourself power to change your life for the better. You can’t change anything while in the victim mode.

They are going to tell you to be afraid, to never talk to strangers in this day and age. To not stop and be compassionate for fear you might get killed, robbed, or injured, they want us to fear each other, to only show love to those we care about, they want us to be afraid of dying, they want us to believe that we must keep those in poverty away from our precious towns. its hard to face that side of humanity and recognize that we are so blessed and have done nothing to reach out and make a difference to an unknown heart, I am not talking about making a monetary donation to some charity. When was the last time anyone stopped to talk to a homeless individual, or saw someone walking and offered a ride, when was the last time any of us really stopped to feel the emotions of another on the street, the moment when you see someone crying but decide to mind our own business for fear that we might get hurt, as if our lives was any more important or more valuable than theirs, worried we might no to get a loving reaction because our gesture had strings attached. When was the last time we shared our love genuinely? In my heart and in my eyes what matters most to me is that I know I did everything humanly possible to reach out and make a loving difference, no matter what happens to my me as a result, I will die knowing I was not afraid and that my one act of kindness will be remembered in that heart for always. ~Will "Story" Rivera
