The truth is I don't even know where to start, I'm broken into so many pieces and sizes and shapes, some disappointments and some heartbreaks, I'm just not the same person I was yesterday and every moment that I exhale I am changed, I have doubts and fears and sometimes I can't even think straight, Im tired and weak and need of unconditional arms to hold me every now and then, I am a mess and I'm not ashamed to admit that, I am proud of who I am, I have these fleeting moments, sometimes I am so insecure and other times when my faith is unwavering, I am deeply strengthened and tender all in the same sentence, I'm jealous and territorial but I know how to love hard, I'm too old for games and too young for retirement yet Im still a child in so any ways, I am still learning, growing, establishing who I am, I may be self conscious about my work, my body, my everything but I'm still amazing, I may be head strong and heroic but I am still a woman, I just want love, real unconditional affection, unquestionable companionship, a compliment, some surety, I'm not here to hide myself or my feelings, I am who I am and those who choose to love me should not be afraid to yell it at the top of the mountains and go through any lengths or challenges for me, I'm a walking contradiction that's made up of so many broke relations and still I refuse to settle, everything I do is with passion and purity, I have so many walls built up inside myself that even I get lost, and still ... I love. ~Will "Story" Rivera
It's one person at a time, I heard a new term yesterday at work - "chronically homeless" I do not wish to even begin to express how heavy my heart gets just knowing that we have come so far to even coin a term, I am not hear to preach and lecture but I will tell you I know in the deepest depths of my soul that this homelessness situation is a man made problem and it doesn't matter to me who is to blame, all that matters is what are we doing daily to extend those hands and hearts God gave us to the nearest person who needs it - it's not just monetary, a life of service to each other should be at the core of every book and curriculum and test, community for each other, maybe it's a hello, maybe it's a ride home, maybe it's calling people and reminding them they are loved and appreciated, stop and put down your phone to listen intently, be present 100%, this world is filled with so many good people, so many who do not realize the power of one reach, we cannot be lead by fear or discouraged, we get so wrapped up in our world we don't realize that when we help others we really help ourselves. ~Will "Story" Rivera
Be the voice that encourages not discourages, the positive voice of empowerment not criticism, be that person who believes regardless of what the circumstances look like, the one who never loses faith, be the light that guides and do not lose the taste and feel of your dreams just because of some one else's fears - against all odds and even then Gods hand is always in everything, always blessed, always favored, always making the best of every experience, every hardship an opportunity, life is too short to play it safe, be brave and different, go as far against the current as humanly possible, explore the depths - our mistakes are just lessons not excuses to be afraid, our thoughts should always come from abundance not lack, let go often, think big, dream daily, lose sight of the shore even if you can't swim, face every fear and never stop listening to what your heart says. #Unstoppable. ~Will "Story" Rivera
We must come to understand that in order for us to truly bloom and blossom in the direction of our dreams we must ensure that our commitments are well aligned with our convictions - what good are goals if we do not take structured steps daily toward attaining them. ~Will "Story" Rivera
Have faith in the foundation of who you are, take time daily to develop your sense of worth at the root level so when things get shaky you remain unshaken, when life brings suffering you are reassured with peace, create the kind of foundation that only allows you to see every situation as an opportunity - use every moment as practice, take small steps toward cultivating the kind of faith that remains unquestioned. ~Will "Story" Rivera
