Rule #70 12/25/15 “The only time you look in your neighbor's bowl is to make sure that they have enough. You don't look in your neighbor's bowl to see if you have as much as them.” ― Louis C.K.

Rule #69 12/24/15 Master One Thing At A Time We seem to take multi tasking to the next level but if we are ever truly going to be successful at our dreams or anything at that matter - then the secret is to work on one thing at a time. Master that one thing then move on to another. Be patient, you will find that being the greatest at one thing at a time will open up doors to success in all other areas of your life. ~Will "Story" Rivera
Everyday for the next year I will be posting a new Inspirational Rule to consider living by. I hope you enjoy. Rule #68 12/23/15 Don't Dumb Yourself Down. Dimming your light just because it is in someone else's eyes is not a solution nor does it benefit you or that person. When you are in your joy and creativity, sometimes others may see this bliss as a threat. They may discourage and warn you, be envious or even angered. You may even feel bad for things going so good in your life while others fail to recognize their blessings, this in no way should cause you to dumb it down. Your light is your inspiration for the world - let it be the guiding force that always leads the way.
You are amazing and that is nothing to be ashamed of. ~Will "Story" Rivera Everyday for the next year I will be posting a new Inspirational Rule to consider living by. I hope you enjoy. Rule #67 12/22/15 Never lie, because you’ll always get caught. Honesty is always the best policy. Regardless of what you are facing, how difficult the person or experience, being true to your soul is the highest importance above all. Being honest in all aspects of your life is a gift to yourself and a gift to others.
People may not like what you have to say but they will respect you in the end for being honest. You may lose relationships, jobs, even family because of your honesty - but never compromise the light of your soul just because you feel the world is not ready to hear your truth. So no matter how scared you are, facing yourself and being honest in all aspects fo your life is the greatest gift you can bestow upon yourself and upon others. The truth always comes out. ~Will "Story" Rivera Everyday for the next year I will be posting a new Inspirational Rule to consider living by. I hope you enjoy. Rule #66 12/21/15 Have an open mind. Thinking that our is the only way, is a sure way to welcome many dissapointments. We live in a world that has many different cultures, many different races, many different socioeconomic statuses -there are a million contributing factors both internally and externally that lead us all into shaping our beliefs and ways of seeing life. Our way is not the right way- nor is it the wrong way - it is simply just our way.
Having a narrow mind can hurt you more than you think because naturally we as humans don't like being disapproved of. We don't like feeling like we're wrong because it makes us feel rejected and un-accepted. I think we can stand firmly in our beliefs without creating suffering for those who do not. Having the urge to prove ourselves only proves how weak our faith really is, if you are confident in what you feel then there is no need to prove it nor force it upon others. In fact, the stronger your faith is in what you hold dear, the easier it will be to embrace the difference of others and want to understand it better, become adaptable and flexible in your approach. You wouldn't have to fight with yourself in accepting others. ~Will "Story" Rivera Everyday for the next year I will be posting a new Inspirational Rule to consider living by. I hope you enjoy. Rule #65 12/20/15 Drop the resentment within. Most of the time you hold onto anger because you believe it would make the person you're mad at upset and realize that they have done something wrong. But the fact is that you are actually hanging yourself up on something that's burning you within. When you're mad at someone, the pain is onto yourself more than it is onto the person you're mad at. When you hate someone, the fire is within your own mind.
No matter what one does to you -- hurt you, look down on you, underestimate you, backstab you, abuse you, or cheat on you -- when you hold the hatred, you hold the hurt. Only when you learn to let go, you let your soul free from the pain. No matter what it is that caused them to do certain things to you, the best thing you can do is to let go. It will be hard to do if you've never done it before. But slowly, one day at a time, be patient, let it go, forgive those who've done you wrong, you will feel that each day you get stronger and more powerful. |
