Rule #228 06/01/16
It's is a very common truth that many people live their lives feeling broken-hearted. The go on living daily with the pain of loss after some major event with a significant other or close relationship ends. Often times this pain lingers with us because we hold onto the experience, we relive it in our thoughts and our emotions. While it is healthy to feel through the pain in order to move forward, it can become unhealthy and devastating to choose to relive the relationship and transform those memories into thought patterns,
When we try and make someone else responsible for our happiness and love, we give up our accountability to our hearts. We make ourselves dependent on someone else, and if they have a bad day or are busy, then we're angry that they aren't giving us what we need. Our job is to learn not expect someone else to make us happy and fill us with love. We must come to accept that love is always within us and it is our responsibility to learn to own it. ~Will "Story" Rivera
