The Differences

You are not me and I am not you yet we are stronger together than we could ever be separately. This world, our world, made up of these various cultures and peoples from all walks of the earth, yet each one to their own vision and way of solving the experiences that see and feel, all problems solved through the eyes of their own soul, you, me us, WE are so different yet we are stronger together than we could ever be alone. This dominating of one world view and annihilation of the differences between us because you believe that one life is more valuable than another. You kill the bee that pollinates and makes blossom the flowers you send to your loved ones, you disregard the tree that breathes life into the very lungs you rely on, chances are you educated yourself in higher education but fail to realize that you cannot even live and utilize that degree if the ants of the world ceased to exist. You cannot even conceptualize how reliant you are on everything that surrounds you yet you choose to create these gender, race and cultural walls, beliefs that one value is better than the next, these policies and rules that will never serve the whole only a few, living life to protect only those who look, feel and agree as you do, failing to recognize that everything on this planet is OURS, everything on this earth is within us, so when you punish one you punish all, you, me us, WE are so different yet we are stronger together than we could ever be alone, it’s through our differences that we become unstoppable. ~Will “Story” Rivera
